NATALIA GARCEZ CERAMICS

I MAKE CERAMIC HOMEWARES IN SMALL BATCHES, FOR PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE AN OBJECT SHOULD MEAN SOMETHING. IF THAT’S THE KIND OF SHELF YOU KEEP, I’D LIKE TO BE ON IT. SEE THE COLLECTION →

BEHIND THE WORK

These pieces were not designed. They were earned — through wedging, centering, and fire. Each cup carries the weight of a practice rooted in inheritance and renewed by hand. This is not production. This is reclamation.

Every piece begins long before the wheel. The clay is wedged until it speaks back. Centered until it stops fighting. Fired until it becomes something that was always waiting to exist. I work in small batches — not as a marketing choice, but because the work demands it. What reaches your hands has already been remade a dozen times.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

THE ARTIST

I work from inheritance. From the hands that shaped this earth before ours, and the understanding that making is an act of belonging, not a transaction. I am not here to fill shelves. I am here to continue something.
